Road Block
ROAD BLOCK
by R.D. Snow (Jan 2020)
It's a misty morning and I'm on the road
I'm flying by that lonely moment in my mind
When we said goodbye
I'm on my way to the grocery store
Where I bag groceries and it gets me by
Well, not the pay
Just keeps me occupied from the pain
Road block behind, road block ahead
Someone losing their mind
Still gives me shivers what they said
There's fallen boulders and the trees are torn to shreds
You can't go back now so you're stuck right where you are
Should of thought of that, boy
Before you broke that poor girl's heart
Now I remember rounding the corner
Braking way too late
Flipping over and over
Landing on my mind
Breaking it wide open
Well, my eyes still caught the rain
Felt much better than the pain
Road block behind, road block ahead
Someone losing their mind
Still gives me shivers what they said
Fallen boulders and the trees are torn to shreds
You can't go back now so you're stuck right where you are
Should of thought of that, girl
Before you broke that poor boy's heart
I can see everything now
Like I'm high above the clouds
And you're about to make the same mistake I made
Can you please slow down
Oh, please slow down
It's a misty morning and I'm on the road
I'm flying by that lonely moment in my mind
Where were said goodbye
